Free CT & Federal Tax Deadline Reminders

Never miss a quarterly estimate or a Connecticut business deadline. Sign up once and get a short email before each due date.

For general education only. Not tax, legal, insurance, or investment advice, and not a promise of any result. Tax rules and due dates change, so confirm with the IRS (irs.gov), the CT Department of Revenue Services (portal.ct.gov/DRS) or your town before you act, and ask your tax preparer about your own situation.

Email reminders only for now. We don't offer text (SMS) reminders yet. If that changes, we'll ask you to opt in separately.

Upcoming federal and Connecticut dates

Who usually needs these reminders

  • Self-employed people, freelancers and gig workers with income that has no tax withheld. The IRS generally expects estimated payments if you expect to owe $1,000 or more for the year after withholding and credits (see Form 1040-ES). Connecticut uses a similar $1,000 test on Form CT-1040ES.
  • Small-business owners who pay contractors (1099-NEC), run a partnership or S corporation, or have a Connecticut LLC that files an annual report.
  • Anyone with business equipment in a Connecticut town, because the personal property declaration goes to your local assessor, not the state.

How to pay estimates

  • Federal: IRS Direct Pay, your IRS Online Account or EFTPS, all at irs.gov/payments.
  • Connecticut: myconneCT, the DRS online portal.

Frequently asked questions

Is the reminder service free?

Yes. The email reminders are free. You can unsubscribe from any email with one click.

Do you send text message reminders?

Not right now. Reminders are email only for now. If we add texts later, you would have to opt in to them separately.

When will I get each reminder?

About 5 days before each date on this page, so you have time to pay or file. You'll get a confirmation email first, and nothing is sent until you click the link in it.

When are 2027 quarterly estimated taxes due?

For calendar-year filers, federal and Connecticut estimates for 2027 are due April 15, 2027, June 15, 2027, September 15, 2027 and January 18, 2028 (January 15 is a Saturday and the 17th is Martin Luther King Jr. Day).

Is the Connecticut pass-through entity tax still required?

No. For tax years starting on or after January 1, 2024, the Connecticut pass-through entity tax is elective. A partnership or S corporation that elects it files Form CT-PET by March 15 for calendar-year filers. Ask your tax preparer whether electing makes sense for you.

When is the Connecticut LLC annual report due?

The Secretary of the State takes LLC annual reports between January 1 and March 31 each year. The fee for a Connecticut LLC is $80.
