Upload Your Tax Documents Securely

Use our encrypted client portal to send W-2s, 1099s, IDs and anything else we need for your return or business setup. It’s safer than email, and you can do it from your phone.

Send us your documents

Our secure upload portal is being set up. Please don’t email your documents. Book a free call or reach out through Get started, and we’ll send you a private, encrypted upload link.

How it works

  1. Gather your documents. Use our tax document checklists to see what to bring for your situation.
  2. Scan or photograph them. A PDF or a clear phone photo is fine. Make sure all four corners show and the text is readable. One document per file is easiest.
  3. Upload them in the portal. Name files simply, for example "2026 W-2 Acme" or "1099-NEC Smith Co".
  4. We confirm and review. Andrew reviews everything you send. If anything is missing, the request comes through the portal, not by plain email.
  5. Sign and finish. Engagement letters and your e-file authorization (Form 8879) are signed electronically. The IRS requires identity verification for remote e-signatures on Form 8879, so you may be asked a few questions to confirm it’s you.

Keep your information safe

Please don’t:
  • Email or text your Social Security number, a full bank account number, or photos of your ID or tax forms. Regular email isn’t encrypted from end to end and can sit in inboxes for years.
  • Put SSNs in our website contact forms. They’re fine for your name and question, but they aren’t meant for sensitive data.
  • Upload from a public or shared computer, or over open public Wi-Fi.
Please do:
  • Use only the portal link on this page or a link we send you after you’ve talked with us. If a message asking for your documents looks odd, call or book a call to check before you click.
  • Turn on two-step verification if the portal offers it.
  • Delete scans and photos from your phone and downloads folder after they upload.

We will never ask for your SSN or bank login by phone call, text or unexpected email. The IRS also warns about scams that pretend to be tax preparers or the IRS. When in doubt, contact us directly.

What happens to your documents

  • Files are encrypted in transit and at rest by the portal provider and kept in your private client folder.
  • On our side, access is limited to Andrew. We don’t sell your information.
  • Federal rules (the FTC Safeguards Rule and IRS guidance for tax professionals) require tax preparers to protect client data. A secure portal is a big part of how we do that.

Frequently asked questions

Can I just email my tax documents?

Please don’t. Regular email isn’t a safe way to send Social Security numbers, W-2s or bank details. Use the secure portal on this page. If it isn’t working for you, book a call and we’ll send you a private upload link.

What file types can I upload?

PDFs and phone photos (JPG, PNG or HEIC) work best. Make sure the whole page is visible and readable. If you have a password-protected PDF, send the password separately through the portal message feature or by phone, not in the same message.

Do I need to create an account?

You may be asked to set up a login, or you may get a one-time secure link. Either way, your folder is private to you. Turn on two-step verification if it’s offered.

How do I sign my Form 8879 or engagement letter?

We send them for electronic signature. For Form 8879, the IRS requires identity verification for remote e-signatures, usually a few multiple-choice questions. If you can’t pass it, you can sign a paper copy instead.

What if I uploaded the wrong file?

No problem. Upload the right one and add a quick note, and we’ll delete the extra copy.
